Exclamation Fostex Model 80 Information

Hello all
As you can probably see, i am new here.

At my home studio i have the following machines

Fostex Model 80 Reel to reel tape recorder

Teac A-3300S Reel to reel tape recorder

Aiwa Model AX-7500 Tuner Amplifier

With my Fostex machine there may be a problem

When i record to tracks 1 and 2, it outputs through tracks 5 and 6 (tracks 1 and 2 there is only input - no output)

I dont know if this is due to misalignment or faulty heads.
I have tested all tracks and all other tracks are fine (slight bleed through on other tracks - No dropouts or distortions)
Any information or guidelines much apreciated.

Many thanks

Keith

pbergo is on a distinguished road
It sends the input signal to those tracks so that you can record without repatching I think.

1 shows up on 5, 2 on 6, 3 on 7, and 4 on 8.

It will only record on the track that you record enable.

The fostex goes in to this mode when you only feed it with a 1 or 2 channels.
It is so you can use just a 2 output mixer for all tracks of the machine.
Try plugging a cord into all of the channel inputs and see what happens.
