?Simple Question?
I have a Porta 02mkII 4 track cassette recorder. Do I have to have a mastering recorder? If so what is my best option; can I use computer software for that? I need some serious help. Thanks!

If you want to play your tracks on anything other than your Porta 02, you will need to bounce your four tracks down to a stereo mix. For this you will need one of the following:
Stereo cassette recorder DAT Machine Stand-alone CD Burner Computer CD burner and software These days the last option is the most common and the most flexible. Cassettes don't sound as good. DAT machines are a dying format, and the machines and the media aren't cheap. |

A combination of this hardware --- LINK --- and this software --- LINK --- along with the CD burner in your computer should be all you need.
Oh yeah - and some blank CD's too. .
