dynamic delay question

can someone explain how to use these?
im tryin to get 3 voices effect...similar to 2pacs vocals

I try to answer to best of my ability usually it involves stereo delay and panning but I by no means an expert I still learning to.

record 3 set of vocals. keep one centers and opan the other 2 about 50 each way and use maybe some delay on them

Ikon - do you apply the same amount of delay to the left and right tracks, or do you vary them?

i very them...the second set i usually do a 1-6 ms delay and the 3rd set a 6-11 ms delay

Oh try and pan like one set to 100 left with -10dB and the other 65 right with -5dB. And keep one dead center. Have a slight reverb on the center track. and a much noticeble reverb on the backings. I would give you numbers but i vary them with each track its all about when you like...So listen to it and mix it till you think its good listening.

You can get a delay up to about 25 or 30 ms before it starts sounding like a distinct echo.
