Latency

Latency

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3 basic questions...im so slow.

With my Tascam US 122:

1) should Direct Monitoring give me practically zero latency?

2) Which driver of the following would minimise latency if i were to avoid direct monitoring?

ASIO multimedia
16 bit ASIO
24 Bit ASIO

3) Are audio pops and drop outs a result of me setting my latency too low?

Thanks guys

bennym1219 is on a distinguished road
1) yes

2) 16 bit ASIO or 24 bit ASIO (depending on whether you want 16 bit or 24 bit audio quality)

3) yes (to a degree). setting low latency is causing you computer to use more processing power....which can make it skip and pop
