Sandman2000 is on a distinguished road
I need help.Im in search of a new keyboard but I don't know which one to get.I rap,r&b,rock, reggae just about everthing.I'm in search of one in the $1000-$1500 range.I have an Mpc2xl and a cheap yamaha synth.I don't need a keyboard with a sequencer.Iv'e played the Xp-30.I like it but it's missing that fat(analog) yamaha sound that I'm used to.I dunno maybe I have to keep using it.I want a keyboard that has good piano's and good leads, fat analog basses and soft strings, something versitile.I've heard about the cs6x.But I think that's geard toward techno. What would be a good keyboard. Please help.

Ok. This is just My humble opinion. That price range if I had to start over, I'd get a XP-30 with a SR-JV80-04 Vintage Synth expansion board. It already comes with the Session, Orchestral, and techno Boards built in. Thats over 1650 patches total. The Vintage board sounds "fat" like your talking about, and can be tweaked to hell and back.

Later,
Mike
