Need help with mic

I am using software to record but when i play it back to the beat the vocals sound like they are far away or when i turn up the vocals it sounds muffled help please

Sounds like you may be using a dynamic mic instead of a condenser....are u?

Sounds like a dynamic mic. You may need to buy a preamp. Buy a USB Preamp and hook it up to the Line in on your com, and then hook your mic into it. It should work alright.

yea it's not a condensor mic it's just got a 1/4th plug on the end of it i have a tascam us-122 midi interface, the asio drivers on it alone are good enough to buy the thing i have my speakers hooked up directly to that now so the sound is more clear than a previous post i wrote. It has phantom power for a condensor mic and there are 2 plugs that say mic in L and mic in R does a condensor have 2 plugs on the end that u gotta plug in or wut? and wuts a good condensor mic for the price range of 0-100$
