I just completed setup for a MIDI playback and recording system: (Connections: laptop PC w/ USB connections, Roland Synth (controller) and Roland SC 8850. I can playback with the PC and the Sound Canvas, and the synth controller works great with the SC 8850 as well. The problem is: when I connect all three. nothing happens. The Roland manuals are definately written for electonic engineers. I just want to record and playbeack MIDI files. Any suggestions?
