Cubasis 4 with Soundblaser value live
can I play a backing tape and sing on separate channels in CUBASIS 4 with my soundblaster Live card and produce a sound suitable for CDie would I be able to produce separate channels by using say the CD player into the line in and the mic into the mic in - on the pc. then alter the respective voumes etc to produce a balanced sound. |

You need a small mixer that will accept 2 mono inputs and mix them to stereo. Pan one all the way right and the other all the way left. A better way would be to record the backing tape first. Then play it back through headphones and then record your vocal tracks.
