.all files and Cubase SX -- also US-428 question

I just decided to move up to Cubase SX from Cubase 5.1 and am encountering a number of difficulties:

1-- None of my .arr or .all files from my old Cubase will open (I realize that my Cubase generation jump is like going from DOS to XP, but is there anything I can do?)

2-- My Tascam US-428 which worked so well with the old cubase is giving me grief, I can only use one analog input. There is also a delay when recording/monitoring and none of the buttons or slide controls work. (I have the latest driver for the US-428 and am running on a 3.4Ghz Pentium 4 processor)

Any help you could offer would be much apprerciated.

bisous
Leslie

I went from Cubase VST 5 to SX3 last year myself.

You should be able to access all your old .arr and .all files with ease. Make sure you Import them rather than using the Open option, otherwise it'll be expecting a .cpr file.

I'm not in front of my Cubase machine right now, but you should be going File>Import, then I think you have a list of what file format to import. You should be able to open .arr and .all files ok. I've successfully opened many old .all files from my archives without trouble in Cubase SX3.

Good luck.

Thanks, Sx seems to be a significant change from 5 -- I need all the help I can get.
