Stereo Track in Cubase

So if i want to record in stereo in Cubase SE with my tascam US 122....can I record to two tracks at once? Or will both sources be mixed onto the one track?

If you add a new stereo track, it will be on one single track. IMO, the better way to do it would be to set up 2 mono tracks and record them simultaneously. That way, it seems to me, you have more control over both the right and left channels individualy. But it really all depends on what source you are trying to record... Try both ways out and see which way works better for you.

If you want to record in stereo on your Tascam Us122, just create a stereo track in cubase, and then put your left channel source through input 1(left of tascam) and your right channel source through input 2( right of tascam). Record enable your stereo track and you are away. It will record the two sources at once into a stero file. You can also record two mono tracks at once, eg vocals and guitar. You just need to tell cubase which one to go to which track on the screen and record enable both of them. On the mixer at the vey top it tells you the input source for each track which you can change. example In 1. Or In 1+2 for a stereo track.

Oh wow so i can use the tascam as a basic 2 channel mixer? Yeah i know what you mean, I set up the inputs to left for one mono track and right for the other...excellent. This would allow for individula tweaking off eq and effects right?
