Tascam FW1082?? cubase??

considering the Tascam FW1082 Firewire DAW Controller but not too sure. ive never used cubase before, i currently use protools le and i need to upgrade my interface (mbox), but dont want to drop a grand on the 002. how is cubase compared to protools? similar? logical? what?

never used pro tools but cubase kicks butt in features and stability. after you learn the basics and get everything laid out the way you want, it's easy to navigate and flows pretty well for me.

Cubase is much more of a sequencer where PT is more recording/editing suite. they are very different in usage though so get a book for cubase
