It's not a problem with the program, because it happens with two separate programs, and plus my FL6 doesnt do that. Must be a problem with either your speakers or soundcard. What speakers/ soundcard are you using?

i figured it was in either my speakers or sound card...... my soundcard is a EMU 0404 and my speakers are some regular Altec Lansing computer speakers......

I'm thinking it is most likely your speakers, or maybe as a result of bad cabling/connections. Has it always done this or did it just start? Do you have any headphones?

im thinking its bad cabling myself....... it hasnt always done this but then again i just got into production and it started doing it when I started using these big VST like ProteusX so im thinking its a mix of bad cabling or my computer is being pushed to its limits

with a little more work i think i figured it out....... with the EMU card i see i have a ASIO device and a direct sound device..... i dont really know which i should use i just sort of used trial and error here but i selected the ASIO device and I messed with the buffer lenght until i got the static to stop..... so far so good..... hopefully this was the quick answer to this problem...... in the near future i hope to get some more Ram and in the distant future a more powerful PC.......
