Bypass eq on Yamaha MG12/4 ?
Can I do this? I really hate the idea of the mixer adding anything to my recordings. Right now I have four mics for drums and my amp, a pod xt and a v-amp. The mixer just colors the sound too much. I would like to hear something without any eq. Should I just get a firepod?

Can't you use the pre fader button to bypass the EQ?

No, I don't think that works. I have hit every button on this thing.

Does that mixer have "insert" points? If so, you can use those to go directly from the preamp (pre fader/eq) to your soundcard/interface. You just need special cables, or just click a normal cable in to the first click (not all the way).
