2410 to PC or MAC for mixing

Hi guys, I am trying to use a computer to mix down tracks from a 2410.
Any tips or tricks or software suggestions? I have a network at home, 2 pcs and a macbook pro. I have been using the unit to mix down, but I think I would be able to mix it better using software. If you guys have any suggestions as far as hardware or software, or general tips please post. I have the manual, and the lastest software update from tascam.

Thanks
Rob
