Project Mix Problem

I recently recorded a guitar track and a bass track into my project mix I/O and into pro tools M-Powered.
I had no trouble with that.
But when i went back and created 3 new audio tracks i get a signal on the project mix but no signal going into pro tools.
do i need to change settings for signals from different channels to get into pro tools?
The mics that aren't working are plugged into channels 4, 5, 6, in the project mix.
????
And its not because of the phantom power either.
