transfer data fro 788 to 2488
ANyone have any advice on whether I can transfer songs from my 788 to my 2488? Will the 2488 read the bacup CD's from my 788?

It will not. Because the backups also store hardware settings, the 788 and 2488 can't read each other's backups. You'll have to export all the tracks as wav files and import them into a new song on the 2488.
