Help! Cubase + DFHs + Intel Mac

Okay, so people have told me DFHs is not compatible with Intel Macs yet (wish I knew that before I bought it!), and that made sense when I couldn't get it to show up as a plugin for Logic Express, but it DOES showup as a plugin for Cubase LE.

I was wondering, does this mean I should be able to use it no problems although I am using an Intel Mac? Or is this just some flaw that I got it as a plugin and the interface works fine.

Also, if I can use it fine in Cubase, could anyone guide me into how integrate my DFH kit into Cubase and then program my beats?

And if I cannot use DFHs with my computer yet, what do you guys recommend I use for realistic sounding drums until I am able to use it?

Thanks for any help,
Daniel

I've had moderately good success with FruityLoops when I use real samples for the hits.

It still would never sound as good as DFH though.. thats the shit.

Have you looked into toontrack's EZdrummer? It's a great alternative to DFH. Much lighter program, much cheaper, much less CPU usage... but still sounds great.

Says it works on macs and Logic express.

The reason they work is because OSX is emulating the PPC. This is not a good performing option at all and runs MUCH slower and with very high latencies. I would expect endless problems until they release native versions for the Core Macs

can't you export the sample from DKFH and just use them in whatever (mac OS) sequecer you want to use?
