Hey Big Ray! How do you like the 8 channel unit? I've been saving for the API 3124, but have heard a lot of great things about the DAV. Have you, or anyone else, compared the two? I'd be interested in hearing the similarities and differences for rock/indie music.

The DAV is more of the "clean" variety, but still adds a bit of sheen to the signal.
I am very biased, as I feel they are the best pres in the world, but really, they work on all sorts of material.

Thanks for the quick reply. Its hard to imagine that for the price of the 3124 you can get double the channels at the same quality level. 8 channels would be great...

I wouldnt steer a fellow NClinean wrong. I was skeptical at first too, until I heard them beside my very expensive millennias, and havent used the millennias since.

(Wilmington man here, about to go back in September!)
