1st new material from me in a long while...

I've been so busy on other peoples stuff that Inever really get to finish my own these days.
Anyway, this isnt EXACTLY mine, a couple friends came over and we sat around and wrote a song one night a while back. We wrote it in like maybe 60 minutes, spent the rest of the time rough tracking the parts so we wouldnt forget them, and then it just sat there for a while waiting for me to get around to putting some drums on it. Well, I got motivated and did the drums, retracked the guitars, and here it is.
Written in an hour, so its short and simple, but tell me its not fucking catchy as hell. Recording wise, I know whats wrong with it, and I dont care, it is what it is
Kind of heavy in a Deftones kind of way I guess. Hope you enjoy it.
Me on guitars, synth, drums
Friend on vocals and his brother on bass.
Peace
Paul

Sounds good, but some things should really be changed in my oppinion.

1. Vocals in verse are clearly unclear, I suggest you take that distortion of of those vocals

2. Drum is a bit too dry compared to mix in my oppinion, add a bit of reverb on that

3. Too mutch gain on bass while verses

Except that I would say that volume is well adjust except maybe a little more guitar in intro .

THanks... I guess this song is what it is, I doubt I'll ever get around to changing anything. The guy is a screamer at the core, so the clean vocals were distorted to hell and back kind of on purpose, to mask them some.

I'm more interested in wether you think the songs kinda cool or not

It might be more helpful if you asked for opinions on the mix, rather than just asking people to tell you how catchy it is...which it isn't. sorry.

Its not going to be touched mixwise, but we are considering writing more tunes together just for the hell of it, as side projects to our bigger stuff. As far as telling me what to ask and where to ask it, I've obviously been here long enough to know better than most would... if you dont like it, thats what I want to hear, not your advice on what to ask about, which I dont need and didnt ask about. The way you came off was dick-ish, IMO.
