FW1804 users....

Quick question... I have had mine for a little over a year (got it last April), and have always wondered... At first I just used the preamps built into the unit, but since then I have got a Presonus Eureka (love it) and a behringer (it was free, shut up...) tOOb Ultragain. I have, up until recently been setting the trim on the FW, but today I recorded with the trim knobs on my 2 inputs at 0, and it recorded quite nicely.

So, to the question... When I set the trim on the FW to 0, does it completely disable the preamps on the unit?

Any help is appreciated, it's not a big deal mainly just curiosity...
