hello fostex users. id like to kow i the vr800can be used with an analog mixer, such as a mackie. i need some thing to use other than my hard drive for recording.

Treble,

You need the Fostex VC-8 to convert the Audio to Digital signal. This will give you the needed Optical input and output for the VR800. There are other similiar products available however, you're asured this will work just fine with the VR800.
