Getting all of my equiptment to work

Hi. I'm having trouble. I have a mobile-pre, an oxygen8, Home studio 2004 and a new laptop. I have everything installed. I have the mobile pre working fine and I've got my audio coming out through speakers attached to it and it is working fine. The oxygen8 is installed and I can see that input is being recorded but I can't hear it. On my old laptop I could hear midi through headphones connected to the laptop's sound card and audio through headphones connected to the mobile pre, but this isn't happening now. I've tried all the possible outputs for midi in home studio but to no avail. Any suggestions?
