Need simple monitor plans

Hi, all:

I have two 12" speakers, and I want to build floor monitors for them. You know, the wedge kind of design for vocal monitors with a PA. I've heard that the specs for such things aren't real critical, since the box basically just holds the speaker and aims it.

So, does anyone have a reasonable layout I can check out? These would need the horns also. These will be used in a small practice room, not live (unless I have to).

Thanks!
JR

I've made a few floor monitors. Do you have a table saw? Also are you going to add a horn?

Sorry, I was away over the weekend.
I have a jig saw, no table saw. and the normal basic tools to wing it with.

Also: yes, I will be adding horns. You can't do them without it, right?

Yeah, you're definately going to want a horn in with a 12". And a crossover. You could cut the pieces with a jig saw. It'll just be harder to keep straight lines and beveled cuts. I'll put some demensions together of what I built and post it here as soon as I can.
