Tascam M-30 console question

Hello.

I'm pretty new here. I'm basicaly planning to buy this console for use with a multitrack tape recorder that i'll buy someday, I guess
i'd also use it for other applications....
and here comes the question that might put my life to a risk...
...here it goes...:

would anyone dare to use M-30 as a summing box??? would it be a disaster or would it do some good to my digital tracks?

i'm asking this, because i really don't know of what quality do we talk when we talk about m-30 mixer.

2) How much are you able to budget for a mixer?

well, i would pay around $200 for M-30.
it's just that i don't want to pay much more for an oldskool desk as i had enough problems with my studiomaster pro line gold mixer.

if i'd invest more money i'd rather go with a loan and buy something decent made today. but at this moment i'm not able to do so.

If you can get buy, I suggest saving up and getting something a bit more recent, especially if you are looking at getting a multitrack recorder some day.
