414mk11 adapter/jack issues

Hey, I've got a 414mk11 with a bad power adapter jack (the adapter itself is fine, works on another machine), which I'm sure is a common issue with these machines. What was once an intermittent nuisance has worsened so I cannot get power at all. Is this something I could re-solder myself without knowledge of pc boards?

If you know how to solder and are confident that you can take apart the 414 to get to the jack's solder pads, yea, sounds like an easy fix.....if it's just in need of a couple of resoldered connections. If you do it, don't apply heat to the connections for more than 1-2 seconds or you might end up screwing up the pc board.
