Studs or Pads? (Monitor Stand Question)
I just got some monitor stands for my studio, and it came with both neoprene pads, and brass studs for placing on the top plate to set the monitor on top of... which should I use for best quality?

Air gap/isolation is the goal......
you probably won't hear a difference, so it's probably not critical between the two if you can't hear a difference. if you had a measurement tool you could maybe measure the vibration quantity/freq of the stand and compare? toss a coin...heads its spikes! just my 2 cents,

Use the spikes unless there's a reason NOT to.
