I think you need to sweeten the deal more before you get any bites. Or just bite the bullet and buy a new Octane.

You do know that the Octane pres are based on the DMP3 pres, right?

I have both and wouldn't give either up.

Good luck to you.....

I know... I want to buy the Octane used if I can...but in order to come up with the cash I need to sell my gear...

The main reason I want the Octane is the M/S and adat out... plus I have two DMP3's two currently... I want to keep one for now...actually, that means I'll have the same pres you do!

Why would you want to do M/S decoding in hardware? There are plenty of free plug-ins that will do that for you so you can easily adjust the spread after the fact....

How much are you asking for the various pres?

Not to be argumentative, but the M/S matrix in the Octane is pretty sweet. I've gotten one of the best acoustic guitar recordings I've ever done using it.

My point was that it's just simple addition/subtraction.... There's nothing you can do in the audio world that's less complex than a M/S matrix except maybe a plain old mixer....
