I'm making a tuner - suggestions?

I used to be a forum member here back in the 90s.. but I guess my old user name expired at some stage. I've just picked up my guitar for the first time in about 10 years, and thought I'd try some alternate tunings - but couldn't find a simple online tuner - so I'm making one myself (using Flash)

Here it is.

I'd really appreciate any feedback from guitarists, especially anyone familiar with alternate tunings. Any suggestions for other tunings I should add? Are the tunings I've used actually correct?

The notes appear to be slightly sharp.

Anyone else getting that? Could be on my end, but I don't think so???

The tone ain't so great either, but it gets your point across.

Cool idea.
I would almost use a piano for the sound.....or at least make that an option.

The notes are generated by a VST instrument, so they should be spot on - unless the Flash conversion is making them sharp, which is unlikely.

I agree the tone is pretty ordinary - but I wanted to keep it as neutral as possible, once I've finished adding any extra tunings I might work on the tone a bit. I also want to keep the filesize down, so adding a piano option probably isn't going to happen - I could easily make a separate tuner though.

What other tunings should I add?

Will someone else please check the tuning?

It looks a bit sharp on the POD tuner, and I've been recording drums all night so my ears are shot.

It is off.

Use a different tone, too.

That's weird that the pitch is off - I'll see if I can work out why.
I've checked the pitch of the VST instrument I'm using against others, and it's the same. So either Cubase is spitting our sharp waves, or Flash is messing with it when it converts them to mp3.

What would be a better tone? A piano, sine wave?
