help with Ibanez humbucker wire color codes
so I'm not sure this goes here but can someone tell me what the the color
codes for a basic Ibanez S Series humbucker I got 3 wires red, bare, & white .... I'm thinking bare is ground and red is hot? can anyone confirm or denny this... or just tell me wich is wich? thank you |

Red should be hot (connected to lug #1 on the 5 way switch)
White should be the "coil tap" wire - connected to lug #6 on switch) When the White is grounded, only one coil of the humbucker p/u is active. When not grounded, they are both on. Ibanez has changed their color wiring over the years, the new True-Duo's have 7 wires! |
