Question Metal or Plastic Reels for Tascam 388?

I know that this is a bizarre question, But, I was just wondering if it matter whether or not you use a metal or plastic take up reel on the Tascam 388. Does the slightly heavier metal reel put anymore undue stress on the motor than the plastic reels. . .

. . .or is the weight so minimal that it doesn't make any difference?

The difference is not significant or important enough to be worth considering or worrying about. Just pick the one which looks cooler to you! I personally use a TEAC aluminum reel for my 388 but have been known to use a plastic one as well.
