Cool Hmmm... Moby Dick...?

The only studio track from Led Zep with a drum solo would be "Moby Dick" from "Led Zep 2", but I'm not sure it lasts for 10 minutes.

If you're thinking about live stuff - again, "Moby Dick" on "The Song Remains The Same", now that probably goes on longer than 10 mins. I'm not a great lover of Drum Solo's even though I'm a drummer. Fantastic to watch, but they always get boring on albums...

Dave.

Speaking of long drum solos...

Check out Ginger Baker's (Cream) incredible solo "toad" on the Cream disc, Fresh Cream...

While were on the subject of long solos. Not easy to find but worth the trouble James Gang Live, Jimmy Foxes solo is awesome on Lost Women. Also the album cut of Rare Earths Get Ready almost 20 minute song.Santana at woodstock is wild also.

Metallica's Binge and Purge box set has some killer Lars drum solos. At one point, James comes out on another of Lars' drum sets and has a dueling drum jam session. Pretty cool.

Red face Drum Solos....

Mike Portnoy's solo on Once In A Livetime is cool, and Ian Paice has put some cool stuff down too...

I know of no long Zeppelin drum "solo", but could be wrong. Could you be thinking of Rush? On 'Exit Stage Left', there's a separate track which is nothing but a drum solo. It's called X.Y.Z. or something like that.

The Rush Solo by Neal Peart is on a track called "YYZ" and it is just a part of that instrumental. The studio version doesn't have it.

Features a track called "Bonzo's Montreux"

Very cool....
