I went to your website. That's really cool
What dimensions was the room prior to construction? Let us know how it sounds! |

Original room is 19feetx16feet and is now split in two giving me a small tracking room that's big enough for a drum kit one end and gtar amps the other end and a control room thats about 7.5feet front wall and 9feet back wall.
The internal wall is double stud with double doors and windows. Tracking room is room in room with a hat channel floating ceiling and a double layer 1" OSB floor on 1/2" rubber matt. Isolation is about 55db between room and about 65db to outside JG

Do a search for Hemholtz resonater. It absorbs a particular freq range depending on how the slats are arranged.

Yep,
The slats in my room are designed to absorb bass energy from about 500khz down and reflect the highs - plus they look mint and in this game for the people I record looks are 90% of getting the work!! JG

Glass Angle
Johnrg, very nice!!!!
I have a question for you. What angle ( or degree ) is the window on the control room side? I have been trying to research that answer and it seems this is the place to ask. I am researching to build also. |

To be honest,
I'm not to sure. We just put it in so it looked about right. I am not sure if it really matters as long as it deflect the sound some way. Sorry I can't be more help JohnG
