R-13 Insulation for studio booth

Hi everyone,

I just came across a bunch of r-13 insulation. My question is, will this do anything to keep my sound booth soundproofed? I'm going to use 5/8 drywall and the soundproof felt and this insulation in the middle. Will r-13 even help my cause to soundproof or should I just throw it away?

It will help knock down the NRC/STC , but it will not totally soundproof the room. Its just part of the soundproof equation.
