New gear that meets or exceeds your expectations is great.

I used to own a Fireface 800 (got rid of it because the ammount of recording I was doing was not justifying having the gear that I did, and needed to spend the money elsewhere). I must say that it was probably the best piece of gear I ever owned from just about every aspect. The sound quality was spot on, the pre-amps were very use-able, and the driver support is second to none. Congrats on your purchase!!

Got the Multiface II a while back. The first time I played back an existing project, to make sure everything was plugged in right, my jaw dropped. It instantly sounded better. Much better. The endless corksniffer discussions of converter esoterica instantly clicked. Oh, and Totalmix is spectacular, although it took me months to figure out how to route properly; the manual really needs a click-by-click tutorial.
I'm a total RME fag now. |

I JUST got a fireface 800, and have the 9652. RME is magic, and so are BLUE Mouses (Micerophones?
) Sounds amazing, and if I did rap, I'd prolly be famous by now.
