Help with mix - Soft Rock/Indie

I feel like there is something with this mix I dont like, can someone please tell me what you think should be adjusted?

Greatly appreciated.

Listening as I type (and listening on headphones not monitors)...

The snare sounds, hrm...different? I cant explain it but sounds out of place. The voclas are a little too much in the background, bring them more to the front.

When the lead/heavy part kicks in I am guessing there is some clipping going on. It distorted badly in my headphones.

Please take this with a grain of salt. I am new here and just giving my personal opinion of what I hear in hopes to give you some advice that may help the mix.

On a good note, the song sounds cool, with a nice groove. Just some mix issues IMHO

Thanks for sharing

Thanks man. Actually, nothing is clipping in that heavy part, but for some reason it seems kind of held back or something to me. Im not really sure what to do about it.

As for the snare, yeah its weird, but thats the sound we got.

I'd bury that snare if you're not going to change it.
bass & guitar bass strings are competing for space.
The whole drum kit is way too up front. & the vox behind it.
THere's no real definition for the bass.
The solo tone for the guitar isn't much chop sorry.
The picked notes after it don't ring out either.
Pull everything back & begin a remix in mono.
If things aren't working in mono it'll point more clearly to the EQ carving you need to do.
