ProjectMix I/O + Preamp?
I posted this in newbies and no one replied so I thought I'd try here...
I just bought projectmix and upgraded to protools. I was wondering whether I should invest in a preamp and some kind of EQ so that I could tweak sound before input. Is this necessary, or should I stick with this setup? The project mix is rated at 50 db gain...is this enough or would I need to get a better preamp and if so is it possible to take the output from the preamp and go to the 1/4 on the project mix..or doest that defeat the purpose? Thanks, James |

Hello,
I bought the projectmix IO 6 weeks ago, and just bought a Joemeek TwinQ to have a Pre/Eq/Compressor before the Projectmix. I'm very happy with the improvement. Hope this helps. Cheers, Olivier |
