Mixing queries
Can anyone help
How do I avoid the collapse of the stereo image when an instrumental part is placed say mid left Double taking is difficult due to limited track space and the mono line is congested. |

a largely mono mix is not an evil thing, you can get more spread later from careful use of reverbs, delays and other effects.
if the center is over crowded, it may be an arrangement issue more than a mix one. |
