I've read ONE real review on these things and I've also done a ton of searching to find it. I can't for the life of me remember where I saw it, probably gearslutz, but anyway it wasn't really flattering at all, in fact the guy decided to ship them right back. It was really a bad review and disappointed me because I wanted a pair for reference. I love my Event 20/20basV2's but I have a feeling the lack of serious reviews on the alp5's is a really bad sign, especially considering the amount of time these have been around.

Alp5

I found a review on SoundonSound.com which tells a reliable review of the product. According to the review, these monitors are not big power monsters, so they should be paired with a small- to medium-sized control room. The sub option is a nice touch, at 100w. I do not own these, but sure would like more info from current owners.
