Musical Notation Question

When reading musical notation, for drums if it matters, it has some parts in brackets and it says (x verse only). Now the problem is that the bar also has a repeat sign (looks like a %). So do I just play the part in brackets on that verse or play it over the bar I'm supposed to be repeating? If I'm supposed to be repeating it I mean

I'm sure. It's the slash with a dot on each side, right in the middle of the bar, which signals to repeat the last bar.
