Unhappy

im currently running cakewalk 9 and will be getting a lexicon soundcore 2 soundcard to run with my fostex vm200
via lightpipe but the lexicon soundcard dont have synth sounds so im going to get a jv1010 what would be the proper way to hook it up ? will it supply my sounds when i use the midi piano roll view in cakewalk? or should i get a midi controller keyboard or will it work either way? i want to get some good sounds and still be able to map out drums and bass in the cakewalk piano roll view. thanks.

Hi,
Yes, the JV1010 will work either way , by putting
in notes with a mouse, or by a midi keyboard.

You sure about that Lexicon Card? I dont have one,
but there are a LOT of unhappy campers out there
who own one, so you might wanna ask some questions,
because lots O folks are whining about the drivers
with that card. Cheers David

My understanding also is that the Lexicon isn't so hot.
For about the same price, you could use the MOTU-2408. And just dedicate 2 inputs of the MOTU for your JV-1010
