would like to copyright my rap name...where do i go for that?

What u need is a 'registered trademark'.

why not try www.bandname.com?

it's not a copyright thing as such but it does help... it may be that you are already using someone elses I.D.

As already stated, you cannot copyright a name. You can trademark it.

You copyright songs, names and logos get a registered trademark. Ever notice on a product, after the name there is a circle with the letter R in it? That means the name has/is a registered trademark. After a song title you will see a circle with the letter C in it, that means it is copyrighted.
