3 mic setup
I'm using 3 mics to record drums, stereo o/h, and a kick mic. It all sounds pretty good but just wondering what I can do to the snare to beef it up without upsetting the rest of the stuff in the o/h's. Dont have capacity to close mic the snare at the moment but hopefully that will change soon , new system or mixer.

MXL604's as o/h and a audix d6 on the kick. I've tried xy o/h and also the two drumsticks distance off the snare and two drumsticks distance behind the shoulder tecnique (as covered in the popular thread in this forum) and the latter picks up the snare better as it is facing straight down.
