Pop Filter

I made a homemade pop filter. Using wire hanger and stockings. I tried doing a search with no luck, Has anyone tried this? Im not sure how good it will function but its better then spending $25.. Do you think this will work? I havent had much trouble with noise im trying to keep my mic a little dryer. Also I used two layers, should I use one? Do you think a screen will work better? thanks

I made a home made jobber that I found on a web site ( can't remember which one) anyway I made it out of an embroidery hoop and stockings, I think it works great, sure it doesnt look as nice as a store bought one, but I suppose you could make it look as nice as you wanted to depending on how much time you wanted to spend on it. I am not sure how 2 layers would affect the sound as opposed to one layer, but I use one layer with great results.

Worked fine for me. Just make sure you ask your wife/girlfriend first ( I hope its a female wearing the stockings anyway), theyll be mad if you use a good pair of theirs.

Make a second with a light woollen fabric.
It'll give a different effect & is a little more useful with explosives.
OH & remember the pencil taped across the mic for really exPlosive Performances from PeoPle who Pronounce their P's with Power.
