Did you build your Hamptone JFET?

I was just looking at this kit and it looks totally doable to me. I have a fair amount of soldering experience and as a draftsman I'm quite used to looking at drawings. This kit to me looks like an easy way to save 200 bucks on what I've heard to be a really nice pair of preamps. What do you think about the quality of your preamps and scale of this project?
