Talking What now?

I feel a little lost. I've enjoyed great amounts of information from you all with regards my setup and eventually bought:-

Delta 44
M-Audio Tampa
Audio Technica AT4040

...all of which I'm assured are great pieces of kit.

My question I guess is...what now?

I want another nice piece of kit to save for, I'm thinking probably a rack EQ or rack Reverb unit would be the best, say £100-£200 value. Am I along the right lines?

Speck ASC is revered as a great EQ for $500 USD.

Do you really need an outboard reverb unit? I mean they make plugs as good as outboard anymore. Do you have a UAD-1 card? That could be a nice addition for FX and stuff. I don't know what they cost now a days. Look into it. If an outboard is what you really want, the Lexicon offerings are good and Kurzweil offerings are said to be good as well.

I saw you recommend the Speck ASC in another thread but couldn't see them as being available in the UK.

No UAD-1 card; don't even know what that is! What does it do etc?

Will look into the Lexicon products, they looked quite handy when I was searching online.

I have this horrible feeling that my next piece of kit is going to have to be a $2,000 mic, something like a Neumann before I really notice the difference. My Tampa has a great compressor and computer have plugins for EQ and reverb so perhaps I'm all set for the time being.

Hi Ed,
So what is it you're doing with this gear, and what is it you can't to with it now? Do you have a decent monitoring chain in place? Does the software you're using do everything you want? What kind of music are you recording? What instruments? What other equipment?
