Layla 24- turn monitor off?

I've been having trouble lately, trying to turn off my direct monitoring through my layla24... it can really make tracking difficult sometimes.. i know it used to work.. there still seems to be a button somewhere that is greyed out that says "direct monitoring" but i cant check or uncheck it.. its the latest drivers and cubase sx2..

any help is appreciated

hmm, sounds like the cubase driver is not selected to the echo one, is that the case for sure?

Checked the Layla control panel? What OS are you running?

yes..

in the control panel on the pair of outputs you want to control..mute or unmute the channels you want to monitor with the "M" button...

alright.. thanks i will try that...

i though i had and that it muted the entire input.. (layla consule right? m= mute or monitor?)

i will try again soon..

sorry for the slow reply but im out of town a lot recently, and not near a computer (damn, i know, what is this 1991?!)
