Faster sync lockup

I currently own 2 yamaha AW4416's. I have them synced together, one is the Master the other the slave. It takes machine's roughly 4 seconds to start playing with the other. Is there a better sync system out there that will make them lock together faster? How about Apogee's Big Ben?
Thank you in advance!

There sure is.

You're typing at it right now.

Have you considered ditching the Yami's and recording straight to hard drive?
