My new black metal tone

okay i've found a converter that works with my cubase le files so now I can post mp3s again. This time I used much less reverb and a different type as well. I recorded two takes. One left and one right. Both takes had two mics(E609s and SM57). The E609s was in the center of the speaker cone and the 57 was next to the 609 but pointed at the edge of the speaker cone from a 40 degree angle. The mics were both about 2 inches away. My amp is a mesa boogie F50. I have it on an amp stand about 2 and a half feet off the ground and slightly tilted back in my closet which is about 4 feet long and 2 feet wide and about 6 feet high. I have it all covered in foam that I bought at wallmart with a heavy sleeping back over that on the wall the amp is facing and the wall behind it. I play atmospheric black metal similar to bands like summoning, burzum and emperor. I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

oh and one track is hard left and the other hard right. My guitar is a schecter C1 xxx with seymour duncan pickups. Oh and just ignore the blatant mistakes. Recording over and over and over again with various different settings just makes me go crazy.

Were you the one that almost melted his amp from dressing it like as Eskimo in the closet?

There is a huge difference between the two tracks, but neither is better. Both maybe sit better in a mix than the other depending on the other tracks.

Just wanted to make sure that this point was not lost...

In approx an hour I'll be done with the download and still will not be able to offer more constructive criticism than has been given above

oh man dial up sucks doesn't it? I'd kill myself if I had to go back to it. As far as what one sits better in a mix, that's a good point. I'm actually having trouble having the synth not get buried by the guitars. The synth has simular frequencies as the guitars. I should change the synth setting. It sounds good on its own, but the guitars bury it. How do you guys record parts? in what order? When coming up with a good guitar tone, you would take into account the other instruments in the mix or just find a good tone and then eq it after to make it fit?
