Another VR-800 question

Until I get a VC-8, can a stereo audio track be played back from the VR-800 via its spdif i/o and a optical digital cable so that after recording a mixdown into the VR-800, I could send it back into my computer and Sound Forge for further editing and processing?

Yes, S/PDIF is only two channel. It should work.
