Bass Drum Chattering

I've been noticing a chattering noise on my close mic (D6) for the bass drum lately. It sounds almost as if when you bury the beater into the head and it vibrates, although I always let the beater come back and never bury it into the head. I'm going to try the beta52 and see if it helps if not is there anything I may have overlooked? Ive checked the beater and the drum to make sure nothing was rattling. I have a clip of it here:

The file is BD DIST. The mp3 kind of smoothed out a lot of it but you may still notice it

For some reason I wasn't able to play your file, but this sounds to me like it might just be your pedal technique. It's common to get chattering if you let off the pedal too quickly. Try burying the pedal into the head and see if you get the same result.

I actually went back to using the Beta 52 since it doesnt have this noise. I'll have to see if I can find somewhere else to host a wav file since the mp3 really isnt that great of a representation anyway.
